The purpose of a diesel filter is to protect the injection pump on diesel vehicles. Diesel filters eliminate impurities and ensure the removal of any water contained in the diesel fuel.

The adoption of Common Rail Diesel Injection systems, or Electronic Unit Injection, by vehicle manufacturers requires highly sophisticated and very high performance diesel fuel filtration. Sogefi’s particular expertise in this area has led to the design and manufacture of a new generation of rechargeable diesel fuel modules. In addition to filtration, these modules can include a heating system (either electric or by fuel recirculation), a priming pump, regulation systems, plus water level detection and draining.
Furthermore, to respond to the increase in injection pressure, the latest generation of diesel fuel filters must meet new specifications of initial cleanliness (0 particles>200µm). To adhere to these new requirements, Sogefi assembles its filters in ’white rooms‘ where the cleanliness of the atmosphere is permanently controlled.
